A fun hands on animation workshop for all the family, with award winning Postman Pat animator John Ashton. John will help you take a simple idea and bring it to life using paper, funky foam and pipe cleaners! Bring a pen drive and take a copy of your work home with you. Responsible for bringing to life family favourites including Postman Patt, Clangers, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, we look forward to welcome John and Postman Pat to Leeds this Easter. John Ashton has worked in the animation industry for 33 years. He has worked in many different disciplines such as commercials and TV title sequences and armature making for the feature film Frankenweenie. The last 15 years have been spent producing stop frame animation for many TV productions including, Roary the Racing Car, Postman Pat and most recently Clangers. Animation has taken him to Belfast to work on “On The Air” for an adult audience, and to Tunisia to provide an animation workshop to encourage children to get involved in the new process of democracy.
